India were the first team to announce their squad with Harmanpreet Kaur set to lead the team while Smriti Mandhana will be the vice-captain.The eight-team ICC Women's ODI Cricket World Cup 2025 is scheduled from September 30 to November 2, with India and Sri Lanka co-hosting the quadrennial showpiece this time.
The 2025 Women’s World Cup is the 13th edition of the 50-over cricket tournament and will feature eight teams.
Co-hosts India were the first team to announce their squad, with Harmanpreet Kaur set to lead the team. Smriti Mandhana will be the vice-captain.
Alyssa Healy will lead defending champions Australia. Sophie Molineux, who has recovered from a knee injury, is also a part of Australia’s 15-member squad.
Nat Sciver-Brunt will captain England’s 15-member squad, while Heather Knight also makes a return after a tendon injury in her right hamstring had kept her on the sidelines.
Sophie Devine is set to be New Zealand’s skipper at the World Cup. All-rounder Flora Devonshire has received her maiden ODI call-up for the White Ferns.
